a Pepper update – late as always

last update here. beginning here

am very pleased to report that Pepper had his surgery this past Tuesday and everything went smoothly.  they opened his bladder and removed the stones, closed him back up.  didn't even had to spend the night at the vet's.  he was sent home without even a cone!   the vet and nurses said he was the sweetest, mildest little patient.

he goes back next week to have the stitches removed.   I am amazed that things have gone as well as they have. I guess the moral of the story is that time is very much of the essence when dealing with urinary track conditions and/or blockages.

Pepper sez,  I'm feeling much better, thanks!

how could anyone resist this dollface?

  1. Be sure to pet the shaved parts — it's a trippy feeling. Looks like Pepperito now has the pink/nippled udder that TK had. Hee.What a good boy! I'm jealous that him doesn't need a cone, or overnight stays, and he's a NICE cat. If only I was so lucky with my tuxie.Srsly, am glad that his problem was relatively minor. Skritch him for me.

  2. SO glad he is feeling better!!! Poor bebehs…they can't tell us they aren't feeling good. He should be feeling just great now! :)

  3. Yay fro Pepper. I am so glad he is doing well and doesn't have to wear the cone of silence… Kitties hate those.

  4. yay!! I'm glad to hear that everything went so well and Pepper feels so much better, mariser.Doesn't it make you proud when when people say good stuff about your babies like the Vet staff said about Pepper? Preshus boy…&:o)His peenk tummy looks plump & squishable (GENTLY squishable) — please to give it a love from me, ok?And is he leaving his stitches alone? Wembley & Stink didn't have cones when they were spayed — Stink left all of her stitches alone, but Wembley got all of her's out, and then started trying to work on Stink's! She just wouldn't leave them alone.

  5. Doesn't it make you proud when when people say good stuff about your babies like the Vet staff said about Pepper?it does! it does! isn't that the silliest thing? so proud of my little one.he's leaving his stitches alone, being an angel.

  6. P. is not P.I.ng quite freely yet. they told us to expect that. we'll consult with vet next week when he goes get his stitches removed. can you believe he got painkillers but hasn't needed them? what a ridiculously good kitteh he is.
