And following up on Kzinti's comment… a conservative friend of mine was telling me why he didn't agree with healthcare reform — said "it's really hard to get rid of entitlements" — which I don't disagree with. However… I just think some entitlements are good. Education, for example. I don't think there's anyone who'd want to completely privatize education. It's a basic right. And so, IMO, is health care.

  4. Today is World AIDS day. I find it interesting that AIDS is no longer a topic discussed in the media. I was sure it just didn't go away.
