Nerd, Dork, Dweeb, and Geek explained

a while back, Dabysan discussed the classification of geeks and nerds.  to add to the general knowledge in this little-known subject, here is a  nifty venn diagram ( not mine ) that explains geeks, nerds, and adds the important dork and dweeb species.

  1. That is very interesting. I really had no idea there was such a difference. I thought they were generic terms. Very illuminating :-)

  2. It's pretty spot on, too. Not that I would know. Well, socially inept….oh…nerts I get one out of three! ;)

  3. I like the sub groupings of Dweeb, Dork and Geek. Makes me proud to be a Nerd.
Nerds, the Trifecta of Dweeby, Dorky Geekdom…

  4. I sent this off to one of my former coworkers. He came back and called me a true nerd, but I’d consider myself more of a geek thanks to this comment: "The difference between Nerds and Geeks is that Nerds specialise and Geeks like diversity. If a Nerd has a favourite subject, they aim to make themselves the authority in it, whereas Geeks don’t take it that seriously – sure, its more serious than Average Person, but not Nerderious."

  5. But what about dinkle dorf? Where does that fit in? Because I was a big dinkle dorf today. I guess, according to this graph, that makes me a genuis??
