  1. Do they allow you to “ride” the artwork? Just curious.

    When I was a kid, I used to love climbing on horse statues just for the sensation of sitting on a horse. Got me in trouble all the time, but heck, it was fun.

  2. I don’t believe it is allowed. doesn’t mean people are not doing it.
    the horses are some kind of plaster cast and are actually quite fragile – seen a few nicks and dents on some already.

  3. This is so cool! I love when cities have these exhibits! I have been able to see decorated giant fish in Petoskey, Michigan. Decorated cars in Detroit. And decorated carousel horses in the Tampa airport.

    I can’t remember if there were any others. ….It seems I have seen some bear somewhere.

    With the horse and Halloween theme this one is my favorite! :)

    • um. where would bears be? Chicago? no, Chicago had cows once, I think.

      it is a great deal of fun – the branches of the public library got foals for kids from each school to decorate.
