updated – Senate: it’s time to put on the big girl panties

update20101216@13:57 – breaking hews

Scott Brown is quickly becoming my favorite Republican

…and repeal DADT.  this is it.  do what needs done.  do what’s right.

On a largely party-line vote of 250-175, the House sent the bill supported by President Barack Obama to the Senate, where the prospects for approval are uncertain.

The vote came just a week after Senate Republicans blocked a similar measure to end the policy — known as “Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell” — as part of an annual defense bill.

Senate Democratic backers now say they have the needed 60 votes in the 100-member chamber to clear such a hurdle and pass the new stand-alone measure before lawmakers wrap up their work for the year.

  1. Ha! I’d love to see John McCain in a thong.

On second thought, no I wouldn’t. But he’s still parading around in his old-man britches, saying he won’t repeal DADT. Shows he hasn’t been on a military base in a long, long time.

  2. My eyes! The ones in my brain!!! John McCain in a thong!!! AAAUUUGGGHHH!!!

Here’s hoping those Senate “representatives of the people” (hahaha) will nut up and do what’s right.

    • hypocrites like John McCain are hiding behind the “more research is needed / think of the troops”. they don’t dare to say “keep the gays out”.
